The Blues Foundation

Based in Tulsa, OK, Steve Antry is the CEO and chairman of Eagle Resources Group. In addition to leading the company, which he founded in Tulsa in 2009, Steve Antry is a blues musician and a lifetime VIP of the Blues Foundation.

The Blues Foundation organizes awards and events to honor rising and established talent within the blues community, including a number of scholarships to encourage the continuation of the genre. In addition, it offers medical assistance to members of the community through the Handy Artists Relief Trust (HART Fund).

The HART Fund is dedicated to providing financial support for the medical concerns of blues musicians and their families. The blues community can contact the foundation directly for financial support pertaining to medical needs, including hearing, mental health, vision, and dental.

The Blues Foundation holds fundraisers to support the HART Fund. The group offers free health screening to blues musicians during these events throughout the year, such as the International Blues Challenge, which will be held in late January in 2021. The HART Fund also provides funerary and burial support.

About Steve Antry

The recipient of a BBA and MBA from Texas Christian University, Steve Antry is an energy executive and entrepreneur with more than four decades of industry experience. As a business owner, Steve Antry founded Tulsa, OK-based Beta Oil and Gas in 1997 and served as its CEO and Chairman until 2004, during which time he grew the company to become one of the top public oil and gas producers in the US. He merged Beta with PetroHawk Energy, providing the platform that ultimately placed them as on of the largest energy companies in the US, prior to selling to BHP Billiton for over $15 billion.

Steve Antry presently serves as CEO and Chairman of Eagle Resources Group, where he oversees all aspects of the company, including all asset acquisition and divestiture activity. He founded the first of the Eagle Energy companies in 2009 and sold $650 million of its assets in 2012 for a 6.3 to 1 return for its equity providers, marking the fifth-largest transaction of any kind in OK that year. The company's latest iteration, Eagle Resources Group, is pursuing new acquisition opportunities in the Mid-Continent region of the US, with the potential of 50 to 100 new employee adds in Oklahoma in 2020.

Mr. Antry holds memberships with relevant professional organizations like the Independent Petroleum Association of America and the Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma. He was a 2011 nominee for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, was one of only three Oklahoma finalists for that honor in 2012 and is a regular presenter at various energy and educational conferences.
